I recommend to knit and wash a sample before knitting a large garment.
Camel hair yarn contains a bit of spinning oil, this will disappear with the first wash, and the yarn will bloom and become very soft. For this reason, I strongly recommend washing and blocking your gauge swatch before starting your project.
